Card and Account Activation

How do I activate my Card and register for an Online Account?

You can activate your Card via the Amex App available on the App Store and Google Play.

Alternatively you can also activate your card by visiting www.americanexpress.com.sa/activate or calling Corporate Customer Services on 800 440 0004 (in the Kingdom) or +966 11 292 6661 (from overseas) 24/7.

To register for an Online Account, visit the Log In page at www.americanexpress.com.sa click “Register for a new Online Account” and follow the prompts on the screen.

I can’t remember my User ID or Password – what do I do?

If you’ve forgotten your User ID or password, you can retrieve or reset them online by following these simple steps.

Go to the Log In page
Click on Forgot User ID or Password
Follow the prompts on the screen to retrieve your User ID or reset your password

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards

How do I report and replace a lost, stolen, damaged Card or if I have not received my Card?

If your Card has been lost, stolen, damaged or you need a replacement, you can quickly and easily apply for a Replacement Card through the Amex Mobile App.

Log in to the Amex Mobile App
Select ‘Service Requests’
Select ‘Card Lost or Not Received’
Select the Card that you want to replace, your preferred contact method and a brief description of the reason why you need a replacement
Review the replacement Card details and select ‘Submit’ to lodge the Card replacement request.

Note that the replacement card is sent to the address on file. No one-time address will be accepted. If you would like to have a replacement Card sent to an alternative address, please call the number on the back of your Card.

How long will it take to receive my replacement Card once I’ve ordered it online?

We aim to get your Replacement Card to you within 5 business days in the Kingdom and within 10 business days overseas after you submit your request.

What happens when my Card expires?

Once the expiry date on your Card has passed, it will be declined if you try to use it. However, you’ll usually receive a new Card by post before your previous Card expires (unless your Card Account is not in good standing).

Additional / Employee Cardmembers

What is an Additional / Employee Card?

An Additional or Employee Card is a convenient way of allowing your business partners and employees to share many of the Card benefits you enjoy. If you are enrolled in Membership Rewards, you’ll also earn points on your Additional / Employee Card(s) spend.

How do I add an Additional / Employee to a Business Account?

Adding an additional Cardmember to your Account is simple:

Return it to American Express along with the requisite documents by mail, or email to us at sme@americanexpress.com.sa

Alternatively, you can contact your Relationship Manager.

How do I add an Additional / Employee to a Corporate Account?

Adding an additional Cardmember to your Account is simple:

Select the relevant application form
The Corporate Card-Employee Application Form - Company Liability
The Corporate Card-Employee Application Form - Joint & Several Liability
Complete the application form
Return it to American Express along with the requisite documents by mail

Can Additional / Employee Cardmembers earn points?

Yes, Additional / Employee Cardmembers will earn points at the same rate as the Primary Cardmember.

How many Additional / Employee Cardmembers can I have?

For Business Cardmembers: up to 50 Additional / Employee Cards

Can Additional / Employee Cardmembers enroll in Amex Offers?

Yes, one of the benefits of having an Additional / Employee Card is the ability to enroll in and redeem Amex Offers. Additional / Employee Cardmembers can view and enroll in Amex Offers by logging into their Amex App. Any credit received from redeeming Amex Offers will be directly credited to the Primary Cardmember’s Account.

Updating Personal Information

How do I change my PIN?

You can change your card PIN at any Saudi Investment Bank ATM in the Kingdom.

How do I view my PIN?

Log in to the Amex Saudi Arabia App
Go to ‘View Card PIN’
Follow the prompts on screen

How do I update my mailing address and contact information?

To update the mailing address, mobile number or email on your Card Account, simply:

Log in to your Online Account
Select ‘Account Settings’
Select ‘Update Personal Details’
Edit the information you want to change and click Update

You can also update this information on your Amex Saudi Arabia App:

Log in to the Amex Saudi Arabia App.
Select ‘Update Personal Details’
Choose the information that you want to update
Edit the information you want to change and follow the prompts on screen to confirm

Alternatively you can call our customer service number on the back of your card.

If you’re a Corporate Cardmember, for security reasons, changes to your Card’s billing address can only be made by your Company’s chosen Program Administrator.

How do I change my Online Account password?

If you’d like to create a new password for your Online Account, you’ll need to:

Log in to your existing Online Account.
Go to ‘Account Settings’
Select ‘Change Your Password’
Follow the prompts on screen

How do I change my Amex Saudi Arabia App passcode?

If you’d like to create a new passcode for Amex Mobile App, you’ll need to:

Log in to the Amex Saudi Arabia App.
Go to ‘Update Login Details
Select ‘Change Passcode’
Follow the prompts on screen

My name has changed, how do I have it changed on my American Express Card?

You will need to send us a certified copy of the following showing the new name:

Valid Passport and Iqama for non-Saudis
National ID for Saudi Nationals

A Credit Limit is the maximum amount of credit that can be used on a Card and this is established when your Card is approved.
